Music from poetry and the poetry of music. Tenor Michael Spyres brings a chameleon-like voice to cycles by Mahler and Britten. Stéphane Denève conducts atmospheric music by Debussy and Liszt.

Concert for Kids: The Tortoise and the Hare

Get ready for a race with the fast hare and determined tortoise! Set to Beethoven, Rossini, Elgar, and Dvořák, the SLSO musicians accompany children as they bring this classic tale to life. Adapted from Alison Ritchie’s book, illustrated by Nahta Nój.
